Cyprus trade deficit increased by €821 million in seventh month
Cyprus's trade deficit rose to €5.62 billion in the period January-July 2026, an increase of €821.2 million compared to the previous year. Imports grew faster than exports, with import growth of 11.4% to €8.928.7 million. This development shows a widening trade balance gap in the Cypriot economy.
