Cyprus: Warning against telephone scammers using local numbers
Cypriot police warn of an increase in telephone fraud cases where callers use Cypriot phone numbers. The calls begin with a message allegedly from the "National Police Security Office" and accuse the recipient of suspicious activities, after which victims are asked to press a number.
