Cyprus's Electricity Capacity Problem Worsens Until 2030
An opinion piece criticizes delays by authorities in activating the capacity mechanism under Article 34 of the Electricity Law. CERA took initial steps only in late May to combat serious electricity shortages expected from early 2030 when the power generating units in Dhekelia are shut down by the end of 2029.
