Cyprus's energy supply: Strategic challenges and solutions required
Two analyses highlight Cyprus's critical energy problems. It becomes clear that adequate electricity supply cannot be taken for granted—neither in case of major outages nor during power plant shutdowns in accordance with EU environmental regulations. Cyprus's energy policy must be viewed holistically and take into account supply security, household costs, infrastructure investments, climate commitments, and geopolitical stability.
