Cyprus's natural gas from Aphrodite field expected to hit market in 2029-30
A final investment decision for the Aphrodite gas field could be made early next year, as announced by Energy Minister Michael Damianos. The first natural gas from the reservoir in Block 12 of the exclusive economic zone is then expected to be marketed in 2029 or 2030. The delay compared to earlier forecasts indicates complex technical and economic challenges in developing the offshore gas reserves.
