Cyprus's Naturalization Rate Significantly Below EU Average
According to Eurostat data, Cyprus achieved a naturalization rate of only 1.21 percent in 2024, significantly below the EU average of 2.73 percent. Greece stood higher at 1.92 percent, while several Northern European countries showed significantly higher rates. Across the entire EU, 88 percent of new citizens were non-EU nationals.
