CySEC Chief: Retail Prop Trading Not Priority for ESMA
According to George Theocharides, Chairman of the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC), retail proprietary trading is not among the immediate regulatory priorities of the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), despite the sector's global growth. Theocharides, who also heads ESMA's Risk Committee, reports that there are currently no substantial discussions on this topic.
