Damianós calls for open EU policy on semiconductors
Cypriot Energy Minister Michalis Damianós emphasized before the EU Competition Council (COMPET) in Brussels that the particularities of small EU member states such as Cyprus must be considered in the review of European merger control regulations. Damianós called on the EU to remain open to reliable partners in the semiconductor sector. The minister advocated for a balanced approach that protects the interests of smaller countries.
