Data Protection Authority Issues Warnings to Electoral Candidates After Ten Complaints
The Cypriot data protection authority, after reviewing ten of 24 submitted complaints regarding the parliamentary election in May 2026, issued warnings and recommendations. The remaining 14 complaints were classified as unfounded or could not be investigated. The complaints concerned violations in political campaign conduct and the handling of personal data.
