Data Protection Violations by Student Organizations - Authorities Take Action
Following public accusations by EU Member of Parliament Kostas Mavridis against political student groups violating data protection laws by contacting newly selected students, the Education Minister and Data Protection Commissioner convened a meeting. The scandal emerged when student factions misused personal data of new graduates immediately after the announcement of the Pan-Cypriot Examination results.
