Deficiencies in Cypriot Healthcare System in Patient Transfers
The patient ombudsman warned in a report of significant gaps in the transport and referral of patients between hospitals in the Cypriot healthcare system. In 12 of 23 scenarios examined, violations of patient rights were found, as it is often unclear which institution bears responsibility and what happens when there are disagreements between facilities.
