Desalination Plant in Mazotos Approved – Fighting Drought
Cyprus has given the green light for an 85-million-euro desalination plant in Mazotos after the environmental authority granted approval. Designated as a national priority, the plant is to begin construction in June and be operational by December 2026. It will initially produce 20,000 cubic meters of water per day to combat the ongoing drought crisis.
