DIKO circles support own presidential candidate
Parts of the DIKO party are campaigning for fielding their own candidate in the 2028 presidential election, possibly party leader Nikolas Papadopoulos. This is being discussed ahead of a meeting of the executive bureau. However, the prevailing opinion in the party continues to tend toward supporting President Nikos Christodoulides.
