Divorce rate in Cyprus: Almost six per day
In Cyprus, over 2,100 couples were divorced in 2024, averaging almost six per day. Some marriages lasted only a few months, while hundreds ended after 20 or more years. The data shows significant differences between districts and a considerable proportion of divorces in families with children, with almost half of cases involving no children with maintenance rights.
