DLGOs receive authority to demolish dangerous buildings
Cyprus' district local administrations (DLGOs) are to receive new powers to demolish or seal off dangerous buildings or building parts if they are classified as a safety risk. A law drafted by the parliament's interior committee is intended to simplify the cumbersome notification procedures for owners.
