Doctor in Germany Receives EU Agricultural Subsidies from Cyprus – Corruption Allegations
Following allegations by parliamentarian Nikos Ketteros, a doctor working in Germany received agricultural subsidies from the Cypriot Agricultural Organization despite the land parcel being registered in the name of his son who resides in the Federal Republic. The land originated from Turkish-Cypriot areas and was acquired by a state official, raising questions about the eligibility of subsidy disbursement to someone who does not even reside in Cyprus.
