Drastic Penalties up to 20,000€ for Disturbing Protected Marine Animals
New provisions provide for severe penalties for harassing or feeding protected species, with fines up to 20,000 euros or one year in prison. The prohibition applies particularly to all dolphins, whales, and eels of the species Anguilla anguilla. Additionally, the destruction, harassment, or removal of nests and eggs of sea turtles and seals is strictly prohibited.
