Drought and extreme heat threaten Cyprus's tourism and agriculture
A report by rating agency Morningstar DBRS warns that increasing European drought and extreme heat during summer 2026 pose a particular risk to water-stressed Cyprus. Climate-sensitive sectors such as agriculture and tourism are heavily endangered by extreme weather events.
