Drought warning for 2027: Water reserves slow to recover
The current year has been better than the previous year and allowed greater flexibility in water management, but despite significant increases in reservoir supplies compared to 2025, expert assessments from the Water Authority warn of shortages. In some important water systems in the country, reserves could remain critical in 2027, although desalination plants have made a contribution.
