Dubai International Airport to close in 2035 – move to Al Maktoum
Dubai International Airport, one of the world's largest aviation hubs, will permanently close in 2035. All operations will be gradually transferred to Al Maktoum International Airport in Dubai South, with the transition phase expected to begin around 2032. Al Maktoum Airport is currently undergoing a £28 billion modernization.
