EAC Earns Over 169 Million Euros from Seawater Desalination
The Electricity Authority of Cyprus (EAC) has generated revenues exceeding 169 million euros since its desalination plant in Vasiliko began operations in 2013. The year 2024 brought the highest earnings to date at 25.7 million euros, with revenues increasing significantly in recent years. Trade unions are now demanding an expansion of desalination capacity.
