Ebola epidemic in Congo claims over 2,500 deaths
The Ebola epidemic in the Democratic Republic of Congo has claimed more than 2,500 deaths and is spreading exponentially in an area larger than France, according to UN Ebola Coordinator Julien Harneis. Speaking from the Congolese city of Bunia, Harneis called urgently for increased assistance and warned of an escalation of the crisis.
