ECB Eases Supervisory Rules for Smaller European Banks
The European Central Bank plans a significant expansion of proportionality in banking supervision. Approximately 150 smaller banks in Europe are to be monitored under a lighter regulatory framework in the future. This was announced by ECB Governing Council member Frank Elderson on the ECB's supervisory blog.
