Egyptian Man Drowns After Diving Attempt to Retrieve Phone
A 27-year-old Egyptian man drowned on August 15 off Lady's Mile in waters under British base jurisdiction after diving into the sea to retrieve his mobile phone. The man was with a group on a catamaran, and a second man was rescued during the incident. Authorities of the Sovereign Base Areas confirmed the death and conducted an autopsy.
