Electric scooters in Cyprus: Regulations and safety gaps
Electric scooters and similar micromobility devices are increasingly being used in Cyprus as a practical and environmentally friendly means of transport for short distances. Current legislation requires users to be at least 17 years old, wear a protective helmet, and use devices with a maximum speed of 25 km/h. The article addresses existing regulatory gaps in the area of traffic safety for this vehicle class.
