Electric vehicle registrations boom in the EU, Cyprus follows trend
The European electric vehicle market experienced strong recovery in 2025, while Cyprus gradually transitions to electrified transportation. Hybrid vehicles accounted for more than half of new registrations in Cyprus in the first half of 2026, while 1.89 million purely electric passenger cars were registered in the EU.
