EMA examines iron supplements after severe side effects
The European Medicines Agency is investigating all injectable iron supplements following several cases of severe phosphate deficiency in the blood. Some patients showed bone damage after just one or two doses, prompting the European Pharmacovigilance Risk Assessment Committee (PRAC) to initiate a review procedure.
