Emergency departments overwhelmed: Heat wave drives patient numbers up
Emergency departments in public hospitals across Cyprus are experiencing an increase in heat-related patient admissions during the ongoing heat wave. According to the spokesperson for the state health organization Okypy, the increased patient numbers are further strained by population movement to coastal areas and increased tourist traffic.
