Emergency Services Prepare Accounting for Million-Euro State Compensation
The Cypriot emergency services OKYpY are preparing a comprehensive accounting for millions of euros in expenses incurred in recent years for modernizing the emergency service. This accounting is to be completed by September 2026 and will serve as the basis for demanding damages compensation from the state, particularly in light of the planned transfer of the service to a newly established national emergency service. The service must also shape the new legal framework.
