Employer sentenced to 6,500 euro fine for fatal workplace accident
Nicosia District Court imposed a total of 12,000 euros in fines for violations of workplace safety laws that led to a worker's death. The employer was sentenced to the highest individual penalty of 6,500 euros. Additional fines were imposed on the contractor, project manager and an individual for their role in the safety violations.
