Employers accumulate massive unpaid fines
Hundreds of employers in Cyprus have accumulated substantial debts from unpaid administrative fines for undeclared work. One employer has accumulated ten administrative fines and owes approximately 200,000 euros, while a farmer owes about 100,000 euros. In total, 722 employers owe approximately 65.6 million euros, as fines increase daily by 50 euros with no upper limit. The state is now preparing to write off approximately 58 million euros.
