Employment in EU and Cyprus Continued to Rise in 2025
Employment in the European Union continued to grow in 2025 and reached the highest rate since 2009. According to Eurostat data, the employment rate for 20- to 64-year-olds rose to 76.1 percent, corresponding to approximately 197.7 million employees. This represents an increase of 0.3 percentage points compared to 2024 and 0.8 points compared to earlier years. Cyprus also follows this positive trend.
