Energy Crisis 2030: Cyprus Urgently Needs Natural Gas
Cypriot Energy Minister Michalis Damianos acknowledged before the Parliamentary Energy Committee that Cyprus needs natural gas by 2030, otherwise an electricity supply crisis threatens. Given EU obligations to reduce emissions, the arrival of liquefied gas imports is the only way out to secure the required electricity capacity.
