Environmental Authority Blocks Road Project to Abbakum Monastery
Cyprus's environmental authority has rejected a project to widen and register a 2.5-kilometre road connecting the municipality of Fterikoudi with the Monastery of Saint Abbakum in the Diocese of Tamassos. In a special environmental assessment by the environmental office, significant environmental concerns were raised against the infrastructure project outside the building plan.
