Environmental groups criticize beer festival next to protected Natura 2000 area
BirdLife Cyprus, Terra Cypria and other environmental organizations expressed concerns about the "Beerateia Beer Festival" (July 17-19, 2026) in Peyia, as it takes place in close proximity to a Natura 2000 protected area and could endanger rare nesting sites of bird species.
