Environmentalists against bird hunting: Congressional committee under criticism
Bird protection organization CABS reported in autumn 2025 the conviction of 55 bird poachers and the seizure of thousands of poaching equipment and over 1,200 birds. Now BirdLife Cyprus sharply criticizes the parliamentary environmental committee for targeting environmental activists while excluding the Cyprus Bird Protection Association from discussions. The committee will hold a meeting tomorrow to investigate the activities of environmental organizations.
