EOKA Fighter Gianakis Drousiotis Passes Away
Gianakis Drousiotis, a leader of the EOKA freedom movement, has passed away. The Cypriot freedom fighter was initially central coordinator of the EOKA organization under Georgios Grivas and later regional commander of Paphos until the end of the struggle in 1959. He was an important member of the movement during the uprising of 1955-1959.
