EOKA history: The hideout for fighters in Dasoupoli
The house of EOKA fighter Andreas Makris in Dasoupoli, Nicosia, served as the 'EOKA hospital of the mountain district'. The remote house outside Nicosia, located across from the current Areteion Medical Center, provided shelter and care for fighters, rebels, and fugitives along with his family. His young wife Androula, his mother Maritsa, and three other family members assisted in the care.
