Erhurman: Conditions for new 5+1 talks not yet met
Turkish Cypriot leader Tufan Erhurman stated after talks with President Nikos Christodoulides that the prerequisites for new 5+1 negotiations on the Cyprus problem are not yet fulfilled. He described the meetings as "better than before" and confirmed that no trilateral or 5+1 sessions are planned. On September 23, Erhurman will travel to New York for separate meetings with UN Secretary-General António Guterres and his personal envoy Maria Angela Olguin to continue substantive discussions on the roadmap.
