EU Adopts Nicosia Declaration for Shipping Reforms
EU transport ministers signed the "Nicosia Declaration" on Wednesday, which establishes a common framework for improving seafarer training, working conditions, and gender parity in the shipping sector. The declaration was adopted at an informal EU Council on maritime transport and is based on seven priority areas that emphasize maritime education and sector attractiveness.
