EU agreement on improved VAT cooperation
The EU Economic and Finance Council reached political agreement at the ECOFIN meeting on May 5, 2026 to strengthen administrative cooperation in the field of value-added tax. The agreement concerns an amendment to EU Regulation 904/2010 with the aim of improving the existing cooperation framework between member states.
