EU Approves Faster Permitting for Renewable Energy
The European Parliament's Industry, Research and Energy Committee approved a proposal to accelerate permitting procedures for renewable energy projects, electrical grids, storage systems, and charging stations across the EU. The vote resulted in 57 yes votes, 3 no votes, and 8 abstentions, and the committee also voted to begin negotiations with the Council.
