EU Approves Over 9 Million Euros for Cyprus Following Wildfire
The European Parliament approved the disbursement of over nine million euros from the EU Solidarity Fund to support Cyprus in rebuilding after the devastating wildfire in the Limassol district the previous year. With 642 yes votes against 13 no votes, the release of funds was approved. The wildfire had claimed two lives.
