EU Chief Prosecutor Warns Greece Against Interference in Corruption Investigations
European Chief Prosecutor Laura Kövesi has made clear to Greece that it cannot directly challenge the appointment or reappointment of prosecutors in sensitive corruption cases involving EU funds. She emphasized that national authorities must not overturn decisions based on EU law and that legal disputes must be brought before the European Court of Justice.
