EU Commission: Airports responsible for congestion, not EES system
The European Commission rejects claims that the new digital entry/exit system (EES) is responsible for long delays at European airports. Instead, the Commission holds chronic infrastructure and staffing problems at airports, as well as national authorities, responsible for the bottlenecks.
