EU Commission Pursues Energy Transition Against Rising Fuel Prices
The European Commission announced a package of measures to combat the new energy crisis and identifies dependence on imported fossil fuels as the main cause, as it did during the 2022 crisis. The package includes short- and medium-term measures to stabilize energy prices. The response comes with a delay of several weeks compared to measures taken by other European governments, including Cyprus.
