EU Commission registers citizens' initiative for unconditional basic income
The European Commission has registered a new European Citizens' Initiative (ECI) calling for the introduction of unconditional basic income in all EU member states. The initiators argue that the rapid development of artificial intelligence and robotics requires a reassessment of the relationship between income and employment.
