EU conducts drill for response to attacks on member states
The EU will conduct a simulation exercise next month under the leadership of Kaja Kallas to test the activation of the mutual assistance clause. Cyprus plays a key role in this exercise and has placed the issue on the agenda of the EU summit in Nicosia. The exercise is intended to demonstrate the EU's capacity to respond in the event of an armed attack on one of its member states.
