EU Countries Implement Energy Aid; Cyprus Calls for Fiscal Space
European governments are introducing tax cuts and subsidies to cushion the effects of the ongoing energy crisis and geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. Cyprus and Greece are pushing the EU to grant greater fiscal flexibility, as additional costs for European energy imports are estimated at around 100 billion euros.
