EU Economic Growth Slows in Q1 2026
The European Union recorded a significant decline in economic growth at the beginning of 2026. According to Eurostat, GDP in the Eurozone and the entire EU rose by only 0.1 percent in the first quarter, compared to 0.2 percent in the fourth quarter of 2025. These preliminary figures signal a visible loss of momentum for the European economy.
